Your privacy
Privacy Policy
OHelp connects people who need work done with artisans, service providers and other professionals. This policy explains how we handle personal information across our website, mobile application and related services.
1. Who we are
OHelp is operated by SEN CONSTRUCTIUM, the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. References to “OHelp”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SEN CONSTRUCTIUM operating OHelp.
This policy applies to customers, artisans and providers, agents, employers posting work, administrators and visitors. The information we handle depends on your role and the features you use. Contact us at emmacoworld@yahoo.com.
2. Information you provide
- Account and profile information: your name, phone number, email address, profile photograph, account role and preferences.
- Location information: country, state or region, city, community, service area and job-location details you enter. Where a feature requests device location, access depends on your device permission settings.
- Professional information: skills, professions, experience, service descriptions, availability, applications and verification information or documents where required.
- Job information: job descriptions, budgets, proposals, bookings, work progress, completion confirmations, messages, shared images or voice messages, ratings, reviews and disputes.
- Transaction records: payment amounts, currency, status, transaction references, subscriptions, fees, refunds, withdrawal and payout details, and relevant bank or recipient information.
- Agent and referral information: referral codes, recruitment relationships, attribution, eligibility, commissions and associated payment records.
- Support communications: questions, complaints, account or deletion requests, and information you submit to help us resolve them.
Please provide only information needed for the relevant service. Do not put passwords, card details, identity documents or another person's private information in public profiles or job descriptions.
3. Technical information and other sources
We and our service providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, app versions, authentication events, error and security logs, and notification delivery identifiers. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies may support sign-in, preferences and essential service operation. Browser and device controls let you manage these technologies, although restricting them may affect functionality.
We also receive information from marketplace participants, such as reviews and job confirmations, and from payment, authentication, verification and social-media providers where needed for a feature you use. Connected social-channel information may include Page identity, granted permissions and publication identifiers or status.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts; operate the marketplace; present profiles and applications; match jobs and services; facilitate communications; record work and transactions; administer subscriptions, referrals and commissions; provide support; resolve disputes; detect abuse and fraud; troubleshoot and improve reliability; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may be necessary to provide a requested service or perform an agreement, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or act on your consent. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future processing without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.
5. Information associated with your role
Customer and employer information supports posting work, reviewing applicants, selecting providers and managing jobs. Artisan and provider information supports service profiles, professional eligibility, subscriptions, applications and performance information. Agent information supports recruitment attribution and commission administration.
Authorized administrators and support staff may access information needed to manage accounts, verification, transactions, complaints, security and platform operations. Administrative actions and access may be recorded for accountability. Having an account in more than one role does not make private billing or account records public.
6. Authentication and account security
We use authentication services, including Firebase Authentication where applicable, to verify sign-in and manage access. This may involve phone or email verification, authentication identifiers, credentials handled by the authentication provider, and security or session records. We use access controls to restrict protected functions and data according to account identity and permissions.
Keep your sign-in details secure. OHelp support will not ask you to send your password or one-time sign-in code by email. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.
7. Matching and notifications
Job requirements, selected professions, service areas, location information and applicable eligibility may be used to connect customers with suitable providers. Job and application activity may generate in-app or push notifications, including matching opportunities, messages, job updates and account alerts.
Device notification tokens are used to route push messages. You can control push notifications in your device settings and use any notification preferences offered in OHelp. Disabling notifications does not delete the underlying job or account records.
8. Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including Paystack where supported. Those providers handle payment credentials under their own privacy and security practices. OHelp does not store your complete payment-card details or card security code.
OHelp keeps transaction and subscription records needed to confirm payments, administer access, account for fees, manage payouts and refunds, prevent fraud and resolve disputes. Necessary transaction, customer or recipient details may be shared with the payment provider. Payment availability and providers may vary by country.
9. Agent referrals and commissions
We record referral codes and provider-agent relationships to attribute recruitment, prevent referral abuse and calculate or verify commissions under OHelp's applicable programme rules. Relevant referral activity and commission information may be shown to the associated agent and authorized staff. Editing a profile does not necessarily change an established referral relationship, and related records may need to be retained for accounting or dispute purposes.
10. Social-media publishing
Where OHelp's social publishing features are enabled, appropriate job information may be published to OHelp's social channels, including its Facebook Page, to help people discover available work. A publication may include a job title, service category, general location, budget, a suitable description and a link to the job.
Social posts are public and may be viewed, shared, indexed or copied outside OHelp. Do not include private contact, financial or sensitive personal information in content intended for public job listings. Private account credentials, payment details, identity-verification documents and private conversations are not intended for social publication.
OHelp may process connected Page details, publishing permissions and post identifiers or outcomes to operate and monitor this feature. This does not by itself authorize access to a user's personal social account or posting on their behalf. Social platforms process information under their own policies. Contact us to request review or removal of an OHelp-controlled post; removal may not remove copies made by others.
10A. Public professional promotion
Public promotion through Artisan Spotlight and OHelp social channels requires separate, optional promotional authorization. Creating an account, creating a professional profile or accepting marketplace Terms does not grant that authorization. You can use the marketplace without consenting to advertising and can withdraw promotional consent separately. Authorized promotion may include your professional name, photograph, selected professions, general service location, genuine ratings and accurate verification status. It excludes private phone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses, payment information, verification documents and private messages. After withdrawal, OHelp will stop future publication and hide OHelp-controlled Spotlight pages; copies shared outside OHelp may remain.
Promotional authorization is recorded separately from marketplace agreement acceptance. Existing agreement receipts do not grant new promotional authorization.
11. Service providers
We use Firebase and Google services, as applicable, for functions such as authentication, database and file storage, hosting, backend processing and notifications. Other providers may support payments, communications, verification, support and technical operation. We share information needed for their services and use appropriate contractual or access safeguards where applicable.
Third-party services may also process information for their own purposes under their privacy policies. Following an external link or interacting with a social platform takes you to a service whose practices OHelp does not control.
12. Sharing and disclosure
Relevant profile, job, application, review and communication information may be shared with participants in a marketplace interaction. Public listings and social publications have a wider audience. Information submitted privately for billing, verification or support is not intended to become public merely because you use the marketplace.
We may also disclose information to service providers and professional advisers; when required by law or valid legal process; to investigate fraud, enforce agreements or protect rights and safety; with your direction or consent; or as part of a business reorganization or transfer, subject to applicable privacy protections.
13. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, considering account activity, the nature of the records, legal and accounting requirements, fraud prevention and unresolved jobs or disputes. Different records may have different retention periods.
Closing an account does not necessarily erase transaction, commission, security or dispute records immediately. Where information is no longer required, it may be deleted or anonymized. Copies in backups may remain until the applicable backup cycle completes, subject to safeguards and any required retention.
14. Your rights and choices
You can update available profile information and manage supported device or account preferences. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on it and raise a complaint with the data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Send privacy requests to emmacoworld@yahoo.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, and legal exceptions may apply. We will respond in accordance with applicable requirements and explain relevant limitations.
15. Account and data deletion
Request deletion directly in OHelp: open your Profile, choose Request Account Deletion and confirm. The verified request deactivates your account and is acknowledged with a private completion receipt. Eligible personal data is deleted or anonymized as soon as reasonably possible, with a target maximum of 30 calendar days. This is a processing target, not a statutory retention period.
Keep your receipt to check deletion status and completion. A genuine security or legal hold, unresolved job, dispute or lawful investigation may require review or retention. We explain retained categories and reasons through these notices and Support. Required financial transaction, wallet, commission, tax, payment evidence, fraud, dispute and legally protected audit records are retained only as necessary under applicable law; we do not invent a single statutory period for all records.
Deleting OHelp does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions with Apple. Cancellation does not prevent an account-deletion request.
If you cannot access your account, contact emmacoworld@yahoo.com or Support for verified recovery or deletion assistance. Do not send passwords, card details or identity documents by email. See account deletion information.
16. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, including authentication and access restrictions. No online service, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please report suspected security incidents through our contact address and avoid sharing sensitive information unnecessarily.
17. Children's privacy
OHelp is a work and services marketplace, not a service directed at children. Users must meet the applicable age and legal-capacity requirements to enter marketplace agreements. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children who do not meet those requirements. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
18. International processing
OHelp serves users in Nigeria and is intended to expand internationally. Information may be stored or processed in countries other than where you live, including countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws and protections may differ between countries.
Where applicable law requires protections for cross-border transfers, we use appropriate measures, such as contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your data.
19. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective and last-updated dates appear above. We will provide additional notice of material changes, or obtain consent, where required by applicable law.
